Description
Stop relying on cute poses alone! Photography is the language of light and when we only use what the sun gives us it's plagarism. Well, that's not necessarily true, but I wanted something outrageous. Anyway, good posing has gotten you this far in your photography, but it looks like everyone else's cute posing photography. Set your art apart by leading the conversation with light, not just following along with what's available. Whether you're trying to wow clients, or just create lovely pictures for yourself, this workshop will give you the tools to make pictures that look different (and differences sell more than similarities!). You'll use speedlights (flashes) and other light shaping tools and learn how to use these with your camera. Moods, stories, and adventures can be created with these camera's and you'll learn how to create...anything you want! Canon and Nikon systems will be the focus. If you have them, please bring your Canon 420, 430, 550, or 580EX II flashes, or your Nikon SB-600, SB-800, SB-R200, and SB-900's, or any other flashes with a slave function. If you don't have them, please bring AA batteries to share for use. We ought ot be able to make these flashes work with just about any Canon, Nikon, or Fuji DSLR cameras. If you don't have a DSLR, yet, come anyway and see what features you like best. You will light individuals, couples, groups, maybe even a little still life and architecure. You'll explore the use of Gels and white balance and how to create some really amazing effects without ever opeing PhotoShop. We'll start at 9:00am, and plan on working through 'til 1:00 (bring snacks, if necessary). Dress for the weather because we will definitely be outside much of the time. I'm willing to stick around as long as people care to stay to make sure you get what you're looking for in your images. This is just in time to make great pictures for the holidays...or add certain items to your wish list! Call or email me with questions. You're gonna love this workshop! RSVP quickly! $12 dollars reserves your spot. If you have an Amazon.com account (if you've ever purchased anything on Amazon you do) you can pay online with a credit card. Otherwise, contact me for more options.
