The RockStar Lounge is a Rock 'n' Roll - themed party allowing groupies of the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute to "band" together to raise "fans and funds" for the Cancer Institute.

The event name "RockStar Lounge" was selected to incorporate the official name of the Cancer Institute in such a way that it implies the celebrity status of the Cancer Institute, physicians and staff as well as its namesake, Winthrop P. Rockefeller.
