Description
The 3rd annual Media-Law Symposium will be Nov. 11-12. This year the subject is: "The Perfect Storm: The Intersection of Sports, the Law and the Media."

Once again, there will be two main events. The first will be a panel discussion Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Stackhouse Theater. It features a remarkable group of participants:

Christopher Lyons (Donte Stallworth's lawyer)
Jackie MacMullan (former Boston Glove sports writer/editor now a correspondent for ESPN and a regular on "Around the Horn"

The second event -- a panel entitled "Women in the Locker Room: Are the Boys Still Being Boys?" -- will be held Thursday morning at 10 a.m. also at Stackhouse. It features an equally distinguished group:

Lesley Visser (CBS Sports; first woman NFL beat reporter and first woman with Monday Night Football, among other "firsts"
Christine Brennan (sports columnist for USA Today and commentator for CNN and CBS)
Jackie MacMullan (ESPN correspondent)
Kim Ng (VP and assistant general manager for the Los Angeles Dodgers)

The Media-Law Symposium is sponsored by the department of journalism and mass communications and the School of Law.
