Parent University
Come and learn from experts effective tools for parenting children of all ages. Participants can attend three of eighteen workshops offered on a vast array of topics such as How to Get Your Child to Listen, How to Motivate the Unmotivated Student and A Parent’s Guide to Internet Safety. A showcase featuring local businesses sharing valuable information and resources for parents and caregivers will also be provided.
Cost is $10 per adult which includes breakfast and workshop materials. Scholarships are available. Childcare for children 1 – 12 years of age will be provided. Online registration and complete workshop information is available at lscares.org.
Parent University is organized by Lee’s Summit CARES in partnership with the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District, the Lee’s Summit Police Department, and ReDiscover.
