HABITS We all have habits that we would like to control or eradicate totally from our daily lifestyles. Habits such as smoking, sex, lying, eating and working can hinder us from having a "normal" life. Habits are usually caused and fueled by lacking something or someone in our lives. They can also be a result of experiencing something detrimental. My philosophy is that there is a reason for everything. Nevertheless, the first step in overcoming is to first acknowledge what's habitual in our lives. Secondly, it is necessary to get to the root of the habit. Thirdly, we must seek ways in overcoming any habit that we desire to remove from our lives and continuously make a conscience effort in taking control of the very thing that controls us. I'm a habitual procrastinator amongst other things. This originated with my upbringing and has been a constant hindrance in my life. I've sought ways to overcome and have been successful on many occasions. However, there is still a trace of procrastination in my life. My goal is to be in control totally and to accomplish my goals in a timely and stress free manner. Breaking a bad habit is not done overnight, but IT CAN BE DONE! It will take prayer, dedication, faith, motivation, support and patience. Regardless of how long it takes, ALWAYS celebrate every accomplished step. Maybe one day we'll have a habit breaking party. Be ready to share your testimonies, concerns and inspirations. Bring your beautiful faces and warm hearts.
