Columbia, Maryland 21045, MD Event Name: Holiday Walk Distance - Trail Ratings: 5-km and 10-km - Rated 1 Description: Come for lunch - homemade soups, brats and baked goods and soft drinks available both days. The fee for IVV Credit or Non-IVV Credit is $3.00. Children 12 and under (IVV-Credit included) walk for free courtesy of Freestate Happy Wanderers. The same trail may be walked for credit twice on the same start card on the same day with no extra charge. Three trails will be offered. A 5-km trail, which can be walked with either event, will be mostly on pathways. The two 10-km trails follow sidewalks, lightly travelled roads, and pathways through Columbia Villages. Checkpoints and restrooms located roughly midway on the trails. Two event IVV credit stamps can be earned on 12/31/09 and two different IVV credit stamps can be earned on 1/1/10. DRIVE DIRECTIONS from I-95 NORTH/SOUTH: Take Exit 38B, Rt. 32, towards Columbia. Follow Rt. 32 WEST to first exit, Broken Land Parkway, bear RIGHT toward North/Owen Brown. At the THIRD traffic signal, turn RIGHT onto Cradlerock Way. DIRECTIONS FROM Rt. 29: Take Exit 18, Broken Land Parkway, East towards Owen Brown. At second traffic signal, turn LEFT onto Cradlerock Way. Need hotel?
