The Legends Behind the Comic Books

The exhibition captures for posterity the living artists and writers from the Golden (1938-1951) and Silver (1956-1973) Age of comic books. Insightful comments are provided by the creative geniuses who were there at the beginning including: Stan Lee, co-creator of Spiderman, the Hulk, the X-Men and The Fantastic Four; Joe Simon, co-creator of Captain America and Sandman; Joe Kubert, Hawkman, Tarzan and Sgt. Rock; and Murphy Anderson, artist of Buck Rodgers, The Spectre, Dr. Fate, Hourman, Starman and Black Canary. A panel will cover the history of comic books from a historical and personal basis with a signature panelist, Michael Uslan, producer of The Dark Knight, on November 7 for the Vegas Valley Comic Book Festival.
