Description
Location, location, location. The Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino lies in the heart of Las Vegas Strip action, near Caesars Palace, Bellagio and Paris. The 2,640 room resort with attractive room rates and a host of amenities has recently undergone a multimillion-dollar renovation of guest rooms and common areas creating a fresh, new look for this center-Strip property.
While roaming is easy thanks to a nearby monorail station, the Imperial Palace offers plenty of reasons to stay put, too. Its two main attractions include The Auto Collections, with more than 250 antique, classic and special-interest vehicles on display (and for sale), and the venerable "Legends in Concert," a lively show featuring spot-on impersonations of an ever-changing lineup of superstars.
The celebrity look-alike concept also provides a unique sideshow of sorts. In the casino's "Dealertainers Pit," the guy or gal behind the blackjack table may look like Michael Jackson or Dolly Parton, primed to break out in song at any moment. More than 20 impersonators deal from noon to 4 a.m.
The IP has 9 specialty restaurants to satisfy all cravings, from the Burger Palace to the Pizza Palace, with some royally good gourmet rooms in between. At the Fifth Floor Dining Plaza, you'll find the fancier places: the intimate Embers steakhouse, mouth-watering barbecue at Fireside, seafood at the Cockeyed Clam and, but of course, Asian food at Ming.
The hotel offers a variety of services for its guests: a shopping promenade, video arcade, wireless Internet access, wedding chapel, fitness center, spa, and golf and business centers. Its 75,000-square-foot casino runs the gamut of games - including over 70 table games and 1500 slot machines - not to mention a 230-seat sports book and poker room on the main floor.
