Exhibit: Love & Chocolate - For the Love of Art, 2008

Everything’s coming up chocolate during “For the Love of Art Month, 2008,” as works of art about chocolate or literally made of chocolate will be on display the Las Cruces Museum of Art. A reception for the artists will be held on Friday, Feb. 1 from 5 – 7 pm., as part of the monthly Art Ramble in the downtown mall. The exhibit will continue through Saturday, March 1.

The “Love of Art” exhibit is an annual event, with a new theme each year. This year’s theme is “Love & Chocolate.” Works in the exhibit are all by artists of Dona Ana County, NM.

Exhibitions opening concurrently at the Museum of Art on Feb.1 are “After China,” works of American ceramics artists Marie Weichman, Dryden Wells and Ian Thomas created during and following their artists’ residency in Jingezhen, China and “Art to Heart,” works by students from the Tresco Therapeutics art class held at the Museum.
