Description
The Special Events division of Recreation, Parks and Arts is proud to present the second annual Military Family Appreciation Day to take place 10am-2pm on September 27, 2008 at Largo Central Park. It is a gratifying occasion in which we can directly show our soldiers, veterans, and their families just how much we value the immense sacrifices they have made so that we, as Americans can enjoy our freedoms.
Similar to last year, this event will consist of opening and closing ceremonies, entertainment, food and beverages, train rides in the park, and family games and activities. Businesses and organizations will also be distributing useful information about programs, discounts, and other beneficial resources that are especially available to members of the military and their families.
By the end of this celebratory event, not only will past and present members of the military and their families be honored, fed, and entertained, but will also have gained valuable tools to improve their daily lives!
Largo Central Park is located at 101 Central Park Drive. Parking is free and accessible from Central Park Drive, which intersects East Bay Drive one block east of Seminole Blvd.
