Description
Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The route winds throughout the San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site, around the San Jacinto Monument, and past the Battleship Texas. Many species of waterfowl may be seen from the trail. The trail is mostly along park roads, however some of the walk is over grassy fields and on a boardwalk into the marshes along the Houston Ship Channel. It is recommended that you bring insect repellent, sunscreen, a hat, water, and binoculars.
