brian writes: We would like to see Yo-Yo Ma perform at a small auditorium in the La Jolla area, such as the Sherwood Auditorium or the La Jolla Playhouse.

I personally asked Yo-Yo Ma if he would ever be interested in playing live before a smaller audience and he said, "Sure!" In fact he preferred it to the large halls, as he finds it difficult to have a conversation with the audience.

Suggested format for the performance: several pieces of Yo-Yo's own choosing, with short talks in between each piece, to help the audience learn more about the music, the composer, why he likes the piece, what is historically significant about it, etc.
