Description
This gentle/stretch, Yin Yoga class incorporates floor stretches and Yin style postures perfect for the beginner and the more experienced. The classes are designed to gently open the body while also guiding students into timeless states of focused concentration on breath and sensation in the body. Yin postures are long, passively held postures that encourage energy to move more deeply into joints, ligaments and along organ-meridians promoting increased energy flows, joint health and even repair of damaged tissues. The beginning student will enjoy a safe environment to begin the journey into body awareness and inner quietude. And this class is the perfect compliment for the experienced practitioner to balance more Yang style (active) yoga classes as flexibility and the ability to maintain equanimity is increased. This gentle, Yin class teaches acceptance of what is and encourages the release of expectations and judgments of what "should be."
