The Celebration of Aloha welcomes you to a wonderful weekend celebrating the Spirit of Aloha! This vision began in Northern California’s Wine Country in 1997 and now returns home to the beautiful shores of Wailea, Maui. Your support of this weekend will benefit the Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce and Foundation (mauihawaiianchamber.org), Mālama O Nā Keiki—Caring for the health of Hawai‘i’s keiki (children) to kūpuna (elders) (malamaonakeiki.org) and Blessings in a Backpack (blessingsinabackpack.org), and UH Maui College Maui Culinary Academy (mauiculinary.com)

Mahalo nui loa (Many thanks ) to our greatest inspirational kumu (teacher)—ke Akua (God)—who continued to place the right people before us as we planned this journey. For those who have inspired, believed, envisioned and innovated to bridge tradition and contemporary arts of hula, music and cultural practices—mahalo. We are forever grateful for all who came together for this 1st Celebration of Aloha in Hawai‘i, especially the haumana (students) and volunteers of 1998—mahalo!

“He Hawai‘i Au”—I am Hawai‘i—no longer must we search for that “place” that touches our heart and spirit, and empowers us to persevere—today, we know it is Hā (breath) – Wai (water/wealth) – I (spirit). Enjoy a weekend filled with great aloha!
