Potomac Community Center, 11315 Falls Road, Potomac, MD 20853 240-777-6960 This is a weekly, recurring activity, only impeded by inclement weather, annual two week cleaning closings and acts of God, as it were. So, PLEASE, come out and play.... This is a new site and our 8th MEETUP here... Please come out in numbers. I spoke to the Director there and she is giving us a slot at their gym on Tuesday nights from 8ish (between 8-8:15 PM) until 10 PM. There is even a Metrobus line that stops out front and go south to the Friendship Heights metro station from the Rockville metro station along Falls Road. That said, the Metrobus T2 line runs from the Rockville metro station to the Friendship Heights metro station. I have not yet been able to ascertain how late this bus line runs in the DC southerly direction. I think it stops there in front of the Community Center about 10:20 PM. IF it DOES run late back to DC, then Potomac CC would be a Metro accessible location. They have enough volleyball uprights, nets and gear to outfit two courts. We need to show up 20-24 players on a regular basis. So, check us out and see if we are up to your personal playing standards. What have you got to lose, except a couple pounds and some sweat? You might actually have a good time.....Hope to see you all out on the courts.....our courts, that is. Speaking of which, I do suggest that with two courts that we play winners from each court and so on all evening long. Playing the same players over and over again may not be as entertaining as switching up. Just a suggestion for you all to consider. Now, if I could JUST find some players to go out afterwards for a couple cold ones to rehydrate, THAT would be lovely. Any suggestions for nearby watering holes will be entertained. Potomac Village, anyone? Let me know, okay?
