YEE HAW!! Horseback Riding-- By Request...

**UPDATE, Friday March 19th, 8:45pm... The Spread has to change our time to 3pm due to a death in the family of the person helping the novice's. Additional help cannot arrive until 3pm to fill in for our group. Please check your email if you have RSVP'd YES** I'm definitely a novice horseback rider-- pretty much only do it when taking tropical vacations being led by a group..... When our group went to the Katy Rodeo, it was suggested that we all go Horseback Riding together. I've researched it alot and found a place not too far away that has very reasonable rates for group Trailrides... Only $35 per hour (groups of 7, $40 if less) while most other places charge $50 +++ If this event fills up quick, then we'll reserve a 2nd time that day if available. RAIN DATE: MARCH 28th. "YES" RSVP's will be asked to pay "The Spread" in advance via credit card to secure our group rates. I'll be in contact with more details upon your reservation. Here's some information about "The Spread" Texas is horseback country! Here at The Spread you can enjoy traditional horseback riding right in the heart of Houston. We are located near the corner of Beltway 8 and Highway 288, just 3 miles from the Astrodome and Reliant Stadium, and only 15 minutes from downtown Houston.( open 7 days a week and most holidays) Being so close to town means that you can saddle up for just an after-work or morning ride, or enjoy the whole day with family and kids on our 14 acre pasture and nearby trails through the open fields and bayous south of Houston. We can even arrange rides for kids birthday parties, picnics , or any occasion and customized to your needs,as well as rides on the beach. At The Spread, we house and take care of our horses in the traditional way, in the same way that people have kept horses for hundreds of years. No fancy metal stalls, or outdoor covered corrals. Just a natural outdoor setting with aged-wood furnishings and shady trees in a quiet neighborhood setting that will make you feel like you were in the Texas countryside. Our horses are well kept and friendly. From Painted Saddlebreds to Tennesee Walkers to Quarterhorses, Palominos and Thoroughbreds, our horses represent the best in breeds. We welcome both new and experienced riders of any age. And we encourage our visitors not only to come and ride the horses, but also to also spend time with us in this beautiful natural setting, and personally get to know each of the horses.
