Katy /West Houston Fibromyalgia Chronic Pain January Meetup

Sorry for yet ANOTHER change. The meeting will be on Saturday, not Friday. Sorry for any inconvenience. I guess the "fibro fog" but really be doing a number on me lately!!! I thought all this had already been updated. Looks like there may be some kinks in meetup - or maybe its just me (probably the latter!) The meeting is now set for Sat. Oct 10, at 5:00. Our original meeting place had some heavy damage from MR. IKE, so we will find out tomorrow if that is even still a possiblilty of a place to get together. If any of you know of a place outside the loop/I10 area, please, please contact me. You may go to a store or church, or some other sort of club who would gladly loan us a room. Our first meeting will be made out of handing out a Newcomer's Information notebook, along with a pen and extra paper (I can be so prepared at times). Also we will briefly discuss where we are now in coping with fibro/pain - you don't have to speak if you dont want to. I also have put together some little door prizes. I plan on bringing cold bottled water (no cups), and if anyone else would like to bring anything you are welcome to, unless there are restrictions where we meet - I'll keep you posted. I know that a lot of people are looking at this site but for whatever reaon, not signing up. There is much to be learned from a group environment. To hear and see people that you don't have to explain everything too. You can expect tons of tissue, but not all for crying - there will be lot of laughing too! Sometimes I don't know how I would have made it this far without it. Another thing - support groups ARE NOT a place to sell things. I will not allow people to attend the meetings and claim to be cured from fibro. This is not the way our time together should be set up. It is for us - the suffers and caregivers that are here for information and hopefully make some great new friends along the way. I really love getting your emails, so keep them coming.
