Celebrating excellence in regionally produced broadcast, cablecast and broadband media, the Mid-America chapter was chartered in 1962 and began honoring outstanding achievement with the local EMMY® awards in 1976.
For the first time in its history, the regional EMMY® Gala will be in Kansas City. Please join us for this ticketed black-tie Dinner and Awards Show with host Mike Bettes of the Weather Channel. The EMMY® will be presented in the categories of NEWS, SPORTS, DOCUMENTARIES, SPOT ANNOUNCEMENTS, SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT and CRAFTS.
NATAS Mid-America will present the prestigious Governor’s Award for Lifetime Achievement to Kansas City based Hallmark Hall of Fame. For more than six decades, the series has captured the hearts and minds of television viewers across the country. It has received 80 Emmy awards and is the most-honored program in television history.
The Silver Circle is an elite group of professionals recognized for making a significant contribution to television for the last 25 years or more. This year we will celebrate Kris Ketz (KMBC), Cynthia Newsome (KSHB), Terry Shoptaw (KHBS/KHOG Rogers, AR) and Mike Bush (KSDK St. Louis, MO)
