Description:
The programs in this series are targeted to the needs of a multidisciplinary audience of health professionals who care for older adults in a variety of settings, such as long-term care, assisted living, acute care, home health and other situations. Topics to be included in this program are: a discussion of the physiology of the eye and how it changes with age; an overview of the Dry Eye Workshop (DEWS) report, which will highlight different causes and treatments for dry eye syndrome, a common problem for older persons; and a review of multiple ocular surface infections with emphasis on recognition and treatment of blepharitis, conjunctivitis and keratitis. Registration fee: $25 per person CE Contact Hours: 2 (CME, CNE, ACHA Resident and Certificates of Attendance )
