The team assembled for this presentation includes Purna Mukhopadhyay, PhD who is a Senior Research Analyst in the Center for Biostatistics and Advanced Informatics (CBAI) at KUMC, James Wetmore, MD, who is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Nephrology, and Jonathan Mahnken, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics. Dr. Mukhopadhyay has an undergraduate degree in Economics, a Master s Degree in Quantitative Economics, and a doctoral degree in Statistics. She has worked as a business analyst for American Express, and is currently working on projects in the CBAI aimed at developing statistical methodology to enhance study design, analysis, and interpretation of findings. Dr. Wetmore received his medical training at the University of Texas, Southwestern, University of Alabama, Birmingham, and University of California, San Francisco. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and in Nephrology. Dr. Mahnken is an expert in the areas of secondary data analysis and multivariate survival analysis. Together, they bring economic, statistical, and content area expertise to the issue of financing health care for people with kidney disease. There is NO CHARGE for attending! CME and CNE are available for this seminar series. A transcript showing CE hours accumulated in this series will be sent at the end of the semester to those who indicate that they want CNE, CME, or a Certificate of Attendance.
