Sales Manager/Director, Data Syndication Back to introduction

Eventful, Inc., the leading global events website, is seeking a Sales Manager/Director for its emerging data syndication business. This is a ground floor opportunity to shape a business. The Sales Manager/Director will be in the position of creating and growing this syndication business into a leading provider of data about local events.

Responsibilities

A successful candidate must develop a strong understanding Eventful’s data offering and be able to articulate the benefits to prospective customers. Core responsibilities include:

  • Generating new accounts and closing sales opportunities utilizing superior communication, management and negotiation skills
  • Developing new client relationships and leveraging existing and past client relationships to build and manage a sustained pipeline of opportunities
  • Identifying and qualifying prospects by telephone, cold call, and networking Developing proposals, responding to RFP's and conducting sales presentations for prospective customers
  • Maintaining a pipeline of qualified prospects sufficient to meet quarterly quota requirements
  • Maintaining revenue and building new revenue within established account base
  • Dealing with complex negotiations at the executive level

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees within department and across functions
  • Ability to convey information clearly and provide analysis as needed to help customer make buying decisions
  • 3 to 8 years of field sales experience is preferred.
  • A Bachelor of Arts, Sciences Degree or related field is preferred.
