
Office Administrative Specialist
This course is designed to provide an introduction to software commonly used in an office environment.Course Description
The course is made up of four classes: Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, and Presentation & Graphics. Students develop skills needed to fulfill job requirements of various office support positions. The course also prepares students for office software product certifications.Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of the course, students will have working knowledge of the most-requested office computer skills, including:
· Formatting and organizing a document using tables and lists
· Spell check and templates
· Customizing a document using illustrations
· Entering and organizing data using spreadsheets
· Insert and modify rows and columns
· Summarize worksheet data by using formulas, subtotals, charts and graphs
· Create and send an e-mail message and include a signature and/or attachment
· Establish e-mail message security and delivery settings
· Utilize calendars to schedule meeting and other tasks
· Create databases by adding fields, rows and how to modify tables
· Enter, edit, and delete records in a database.
· Design and edit dynamic presentations, arranging slides and adding animations
