Jacksonville Flag Football - Holiday Time - It's ON!

Had a great crowd last week, and most said they'd be back, so come on out if you can!! Chris will be in charge again, I'll see everyone in January! Pickup non-contact coed adult flag football for fun (and a little exercise)!!!! Please join us for some fun flag football!! Definitely non-contact (don't want anyone to get hurt), and inclusive!! We'll pick teams each week based on who shows up and try to mix it up each time. If the teams seem a little lopsided we'll switch up partway through or switch sides if the weather seems to be a factor. Looking for a variety of ages waist sizes and skill levels to keep it interesting, and we strive to include everyone regardless of any of the above. We are a "pickup" group, an opportunity for a variety of skill levels to get an opportunity to play in a relaxed environment. We are not a competitive league. See the links page if you need that level of competition. We'll play until we get tired, then maybe go for a beer!! We like to pick teams by 11 so we have lots of time to play before the 1:00 games, so plan to arrive early to stretch and warm up! Bring your own water, don't forget the sunscreen. Cleats are helpful but not required (no metal spikes). AVOID shorts or pants with pockets - if a finger gets caught either the finger will break or the garment will rip (I've seen 1 person lose 2 pairs of pants - luckily he was wearing boxers underneath!!)!!! Don't worry if you only see a few people signed up - we have lots of "regulars" who don't visit the site to RSVP very often, I only worry about the numbers around holidays and will specify "real" rsvps then. The field is to the east of 9A on Baymeadows. You can get to it either by the Gate Parkway or Baymeadows exits off of 9A, head east off the exit, and the road then turns north/south toward the other exit. The park is between the road and 9A. Rain Policy: If it's "lightly" raining or rain seems to have stopped, we'll still play. If it's raining hard, we won't play - basically, we don't cancel due to "threat" of rain, I'll be at the field unless there's a hurricane or tropical storm. The rain often seems to magically stop when it's time for us to play... We'd love to have you join us, please RSVP and include a phone # in case there are last-minute instructions!!
