ADVANCED CHINESE BODY WORK (8 CEU)

Tuina has been the staple of manual healing in China for thousands of years. This class will begin with introductions to traditional Chinese medicine theory and a review of essential meridian theory to set the foundation for tuina therapeutics and to lay a foundation that will allow you to formulate an appropriate treatment plan.

We'll then progress into a hands-on workshop teaching traditional and contemporary cupping therapy, tuina maassage techniques using specific acu-points on the meridieans for acupressure, how to find them, and what they do. Dr. Shipe has selected varous common imbalances that respons well to tuina. Using Chinese medical theory, eh will help you formulate simple therapeutic massage treatment plans for your patients. Participants will perform tuina techniques on partners based on their personally developed treatments plans.

If the tuina didn't relax you by the end of the day, Dr. Shipe will send you off with rechaged Qi after the last hour of the seminar by keading the class in classical Chinese Ba Duan Jin Qigong. This is a full day of education and fun.
