Released in 2009 by Oxford University Press, Dr. Sheehan-Dean`s new book, Concise History of the U.S. Civil War, offers new perspectives on the significant events and circumstances of the Civil War era. Visitors will learn how technology and history can come together to better tell the story of American history. This book is the only atlas of the Civil War to include data maps to help explain key issues about the war beyond campaign and battle maps. Concise Atlas of the Civil War presents political and social changes as well as campaign and battle maps. Dr. Sheehan-Dean produced each of the 52 maps in this atlas himself.
