7:30pm-9:30pm, 6 week session, $180.00
Improv is a must for all actors. Improv id the most important tool for an actor. If you&39;re not thinking on your feet, making choices freely in your work or taking a risk with your character development - and most of you are not - then you need to take this class. It&39;s only 4 weeks, but what it gives you is a foundation you have to have.
Classes are held at: Crown Productions (165 Industrial Loop S., Suite 5, Orange Park, FL 32073).
In 2003, Bobby Parker got tired of the corporate world and overblown expectations that his parents had for his life and lashed out the only way he knew how - by getting on stage and making people laugh. Bobby quickly developed into one the best stand up comedians in Jacksonville and in the process has worked with Pauly Shore, Tracy Morgan, Colin Quinn, Bobby Lee, John Heffron, and many others. Along the way, Bobby decided to give Improv Comedy a try and found something else that he has loved. He worked with the now defunct ImprovJacksonville, and has trained with teachers from Second City and IO (formerly Improv Olympic). He has attended and performed at improv festivals, taught classes, and made people laugh in more shows than he can count. Funny is a serious business, and Bobby is seriously funny.
As The A. C. T. I. N. G. Coach, Cindy Hogan gears her coaching towards working in front of the camera. By that, we mean looking for a deeper level of reality in an actor&39;s work and a strong connection to subtext. The camera searches out the thoughts behind the eyes and the subtleties in the actor&39;s work. The A. C. T. I. N. G. Coach is committed to teaching actors to trust themselves and allow their impulses to flow freely.
