Description
We will pack in a lot of information for you in our November program. Ginny Stibolt, author of Sustainable Gardening for Florida and member of The Lawn Reform Coalition, will speak to us on "non-lawns" and how to manage lawns more sustainably. The Lawn Reform Coalition is composed of writers and horticulturalists dedicated to reduce lawn and stop resource- wasting and the polluting conventional care of them to ensure healthier water bodies and those dependent on them. We will also hear from Warren Anderson, of the Public Trust Environmental Legal Institute. He will tell us about an art contest designed to update the true depiction of the Timucua Indians. So get out your shovels and paint brushes, and prepare to get your creative juices flowing to change your green space and our traditional but flawed view of our previous inhabitants- and your own cup for refreshments to reduce waste going to the landfill. Social time begins at 6:30, program at 7:00. Bring your own cup! See a map to the church in the FILES section.
