2009 Jacksonville Light Boat Parade

Thanksgiving weekend wouldn't be complete without the Jacksonville Light Parade. Each year, boats of every shape and size are imaginatively adorned with decorations that captivate senses and stimulate imaginations. Seafarers and landlubbers of all ages are sure to be dazzled by the area's largest lighted boat parade. The 2009 parade will make two laps. It begins at 7:00pm at Metropolitan Park, travels along the Northbank past The Jacksonville Landing and circles to the Southbank. The route continues along the Southbank, under the Main Street Bridge, past the Navy Memorial statue and down to the Duval County School Board Building. Fireworks immediately following the parade which is suppose to be spectacular! Valet Parking- $5.00 per car Buffet in the bar area- hamburgers/hot dogs/etc. Adult - $12.95 Child- $7.95 (all you can eat) I will get there early- about 5pm if anyone would like to join me :) and save a table. I am sure we will all be up and about as viewing will be best out on the dock. We have a large group, so I suggest you get there early if possible!
