The original manuscripts of Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation and the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution signed by Lincoln and members of Congress will also be on display.

The Samuel L. Hirshland Gallery is open Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm until December 23. Regular viewing hours resume January 4, 2010. On Saturdays, the gallery will be open from 1 pm to 5 pm on October 24 & 31, November 7, 14, & 21. Check Web postings for updates at www.library.cornell.edu.

This exhibition is made possible by a grant from the Nicholas H. Noyes, Jr. Memorial foundation. Cornell’s copy of the Gettysburg Address was the gift of Nicholas H. Noyes and Marguerite Lilly Noyes.
