Current Research: He is currently working on two book projects, the first entitled "Adrift on an Inland Sea: The Projection of Colonial Power in the Brazilian Wilderness," the second entitled "Negotiating Terror: Brazil's Indian Wars and Violence as Cultural Exchange in the Early Modern Atlantic World."
