On Saturday, September 25, 2010, IUPUI and the Student Organization for Alumni Relations will hold the second annual IUPUI Regatta on the Downtown Indianapolis canal. The event is creating a high-energy campus event that involves both the campus and Indianapolis communities while benefiting IUPUI student scholarships. The IUPUI Regatta is a half mile canoe relay competition involving teams of up to eight IUPUI students, faculty/ staff, and alumni beginning at the Admiral Spruance basin at the head of the canal, traveling down the USS Indianapolis basin, and then back to complete the half mile leg. Beyond the canoe race, there will be a beer & wine garden, food from local Indy vendors, a family game area, and much, much, more!
