I Took the MTI Class, Now What? at Postal code 83401, US
General Overview of Course:
Participants will receive support and further instruction to assist their implementation of math instruction using best practices as learned in the MTI(Idaho Math Initiatives) class.
Participants will:
- gain experience in solving math tasks
- learn to evaluate and create rich math tasks for their students
- gain experiece in directing appropriate discussion with students performing math tasks
- learn how to identify next steps for student instruction based on student work
Learning resources used and/ or required text:(books already obtained from State through MTI project)
Course requirements:
- In Class participation; 6 sessions @ 2 1/2 = 15 hours
- Out of Class:
- 1 hour coaching/observation to be scheduled with instructor
- Lesson planning to incorporate MTI instructional tools.
Schedule for Class (Dates and Times):
- August 24 1:00-3:30PM
- September 7 & 28 4:00-6:30PM
- October 12 & 264:00-6:30PM
- November 164:00-6:30PM
