DESCRIPTION:  The purpose of this group is to establish a safe place w
	here people can deal with the pain and isolation brought about by the 
	ending of a significant relationship. We are not a single group or a d
	ating network. Instead\, we are a family where it is safe to be oursel
	ves. The goal of the meeting is to help members to develop into health
	ier\, more complete\, independent\, loving men and women. We hope that
	 by being together\, listening to each other\, and by sharing our expe
	riences\, strength and hope\, we will learn to see the value of life i
	n a new context. For the first hour of each meeting members share thei
	r experiences. The second half of the meeting is reserved for a guest 
	speaker relating to either the legal or emotional aspects of separatio
	n/divorce. We meet every Monday eveing at the Church in the Highlands\
	, 34 Bryant Ave. White Plains\, New York. We are a mixed group of men 
	and women. There are about 50 members\, with approximately 20 attendee
	s per meeting. There are no fees\, new members are welcome\, no reserv
	ation is necessary. We pass a basket at each meeting and suggest a thr
	ee dollar donation per meeting to cover the cost of the meeting place 
	and coffee/cookies served at the meeting.\n
