DESCRIPTION:  Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary is a 400 acre non-profit 
	refuge for farm animals and wildlife located in Poolesville\, Maryland
	. Our mission is to: Offer care\, rehabilitation\, and permanent sanct
	uary for neglected\, abandoned or unwanted farm animals. Provide prote
	cted habitat for wildlife. Furnish information to the public regarding
	 farm animal and wildlife issues. Promote compassion and humane treatm
	ent for all animals. Volunteers are needed to assist with feeding and 
	caring for the animals\; mowing\, trimming\, and fencing around the fa
	rm\; and administrative tasks such as filing and data entry. Poplar Sp
	ring We do ask that you respect the creatures at the sanctuary by leav
	ing your furry ones (dogs and others) at home and also if bringing foo
	d that it is only vegan. It is recommended that you wear clothes to ge
	t dirty in. Bring rubber boots in case the weather has been bad. Bring
	 a vegan lunch so we can hang out afterwards and enjoy the scenery and
	 creatures. If this is your first time you will need to arrive about 1
	0 minutes early to fill out some forms.\n
