	l Beltway) in Virginia\, take Exit 44 onto George Washington Memorial 
	Pkwy (1st exit in VA from MD). Exit from the Pkwy at the Memorial Brid
	ge/Arlington Cemetery exit (approx. 8.5 miles). Make a right turn at t
	he stop sign. Be in the right lane in the traffic circle to cross the 
	Memorial Bridge. After getting on the Bridge\, get in the right lane. 
	Immediately after crossing the Bridge\, exit at Rock Creek Pkwy/Kenned
	y Center exit. Follow Rock Creek Pkwy & Kennedy Center signs. This roa
	d will pass under the Kennedy Center by the river\, and pass by the Wa
	tergate complex on the right. At the next light (there is a yield sign
	 to the right of this light) make a right turn onto Virginia Avenue. A
	fter 3 lights (.3 miles) make a right on 24th St. which goes into the 
	parking garage at Columbia Plaza. Limited parking available on the str
	eet during the day (metered) and weekend (free). Via Metro [recommende
	d]: Exit Foggy Bottom-GWU (Orange/Blue Lines) Station onto 23rd St. Tu
	rn right\, remaining on 23rd St. and walk four blocks to Virginia Ave.
	 Cross Virginia Ave.\, turn right\, walk half a block\, and turn left 
	into the drive at Columbia Plaza Aprtments located across from the Col
	umbia Plaza Parking Garage. Event Description:  Enjoy Washington while
	 flowers bloom through the spring and summer! Two trail options are av
	ailable\, although only one IVV credit stamp is available. Both trails
	 are rated 1 because they follow paved surfaces with only very minor h
	ills. The 13-KM option takes you past the Lincoln Memorial and through
	 East Potomac Park along the Potomac River to Haines Point. This trail
	 returns by following the shores of Washington Channel and the Tidal B
	asin. This trail will offer special views of the cherry blossoms in bl
	oom during the early spring. The 10-KM trail follows the shore of the 
	Potomac from the Watergate complex past the Kennedy Center to East Pot
	omac Park. The trail then passes by the tidal basin and the marinas of
	 Washington Channel before passing back through L'Enfant Plaza and the
	 heart of the National Mall. A shorter version will also be availalble
