DESCRIPTION: Judy A. Greenberg\, Director of The Kreeger Museum is pro
	ud to announce that artist Ledelle Moe is the 2008 Kreeger Museum Arti
	st Award winner. Moe was chosen from a group of three finalists by a d
	istinguished\, five-person jury.  In the spirit of David and Carmen Kr
	eeger\, The Kreeger Museum established The Kreeger Museum Artist Award
	 in 2004 to recognize\, biennially\, a Washington area artist deservin
	g of recognition by consistently demonstrating artistic excellence\, e
	xceptional creativity and whose life and work has significantly and po
	sitively influenced the Washington\, DC arts community. The Kreeger Mu
	seum would like to congratulate the other nominated finalists\, Dan St
	einhilber and Yuriko Yamaguchi.  Moe will receive a $20\,000 prize\, u
	nderwritten by Chevy Chase Bank\, which will be presented at a recepti
	on and award presentation at The Kreeger Museum in October 2008. A sel
	ection of her work will be on view at the Museum from October 3 throug
