	***CLASS FULL*** Join in for a fun 10-hour 2-day course that will give
	 you all the skills and knowledge necessary for confident small boat h
	andling! This course is taught aboard the 19' Flying Scot\, and has a 
	student-to-instructor ratio of 3:1 (the lowest in the Washington or An
	napolis areas). With the exception of the first 10 minutes of orientat
	ion\, the entire course is taught aboard the boat with you and your tw
	o classmates at the tiller. Topics covered in the course include: rigg
	ing\, the points of sail\, navigational markers\, right-of-way rules\,
	 man overboard procedures and plenty of mooring and docking drills. At
	 the end of the course -- test out your skills as you compete with you
	r new friends!! And\, come away with your basic sailing certification.
	 There is a 9 person limit - you must be prepaid in advance to go! Fir
	st paid only basis!! We do expect to sell out so get your payments in 
	quickly! COURSE COST: $300 - Non-refundable payment. SCHEDULE: August 
	1st: Be there at 9:30am. Sailing starts at 10am. (Bring a bag lunch fr
	om 12:30-1:30pm) then sail from 1:30-4:30pm. August 2ndt: Be there at 
	9:30am. Sailing starts at 10am. (Bring a bag lunch from 12:30-1:30pm)

	NG: Park anywhere in the marina or the adjacent picnic area parking lo
	t. Parking is always crowded on weekends\, so plan to arrive early. Do
	 not park on the entrance road reserved for trailer parking. CHECK-IN:
	 Meet at Check-in at 9:30 then the office staff will help you get orie
	nted\, and have you sign a boat rental agreement (required). WEATHER: 
	No attempt is made to sail in dangerous or miserable conditions and le
	ssons will be rescheduled. We recommend calling the office if threaten
	ing weather is forecasted. We have sophisticated radar access and will
	 make every attempt to call you before you leave home. We will sail\, 
	however\, when conditions permit instructive sailing\, including light
	 showers and light winds. CLOTHING: Dress for the weather conditions. 
	If cool -- a light windbreaker is desirable as it is always cooler on 
	the water. In the summer\, wear light color clothes and a hat or visor
	. Good sunglasses with straps and sunscreen are also important. SHOES:
	 While nonskid boat shoes are best\, any rubber soled shoe (tennis sho
	es) will provide safe footing. Sandals and flip flops DO NOT provide f
	oot protection. BEVERAGES: The Flying Scots are large comfortable boat
	s. Feel free to bring a jug of water or juice out on your class\, you'
	ll be happy you did on a summer day. Please note that alcoholic bevera
	ges are not permitted on the boats. GO FOR FREE PRACTICE: Offered Mond
	ay thru Friday between 9am and 8pm\, the week following the completion
	 of your course. RENTALS: After your week of free time\, take your fri
	ends and family out any day Mon.-Fri. between 9am and 8pm at half pric
	e. We will have the boats rigged and ready to sail.\n
