DESCRIPTION:  Beaverdam\, Gloucester’s largest park (1340 acres) is l
	ocated in the central part of the county and surrounds a 635-acre lake
	. DOGS WELCOME!!! DISTANCE: up to 18 miles- You do what you are comfor
	table with! TIME TO COMPLETE: 7 hours approximately - includes time to
	 stop and have lunch. DIFFICULTY: MEDIUM (Some rolling hills but no re
	al steep climbs) WEATHER DEPENDENT EVENT: Please check the site the ni
	ght before and the morning of the hike to make sure the hike has not b
	een canceled due to weather. I will only cancel the event if it is lig
	htening or other severe weather. PARKING: Beaverdam Park has two entra
	nces. We will be meeting at 10am at the Roaring Springs Road Entrance 
	(same as the last time we hiked Beaverdam). We'll start at 10:00 am at
	 the main entrance. Some of us will be doing the entire 18 miles\, oth
	ers will only do 3 or 4 and most will do any distance in between. Few 
	will do the 18\, so please do not keep that from getting you to come! 
	There is NO shame in turning back early! WHAT TO BRING: A small snack\
	, lunch\, and at least two bottles of water. Hiking shoes recommended.
