DESCRIPTION: January 16-18\, 2009 On February 3\, 1990 a Queen was bor
	n-again. On that date\, Adele Givens made her professional stand-up de
	but at the Regal Theater in Chicago. Since that day\, Adele has not ce
	ased to amaze her fans and peers alike. Almost immediately\, her peers
	 dubbed her the Queen of Comedy. The name stuck and its no wonder\, wi
	th such credits as Russell Simmon's Def Comedy Jam\, The All Stars of 
	Def Comedy Jam\, The Bad Girls of Def Comedy Jam and the Oprah Winfrey
	 Show. Adele has reigned supreme all right. It wasn't long before Adel
	e made her acting debut\, guest starring in such sitcoms as Martin\, M
	oesha\, The Steve Harvey Show\, and The Parkers. She had a recurring r
	ole on The Tracy Ullman Show and was a series regular on the hit UPN s
	itcom The Hughley's. Adele branched out to do her very own morning rad
	io show\, The Howard MaGee and Adele Givens Morning Show on WGCI\, in 
	Chicago but but before filming her first movie role as Tricks in The P
	layer's Club. Before long\, HBO recognized her majesty by offering her
	 a chance to do her own HBO Half Hour Comedy Special and television pi
	lot "The Adele Givens Show". She also served as co-host of the Source 
	Awards pre-show on UPN. Lately\, Adele has been wowing audiences every
	where on the very successful Queens of Comedy Tour. Who could be surpr
	ised after the massive success of the tour's movie and the Grammy nomi
	nated soundtrack! She can also be seen on Comedy Central in her own ha
