	 Take Exit 55 (Fairfax Co. Pkwy/VA-7100). Drive south on VA-7100 towar
	d Fairfax for about 10 miles until you reach a traffic signal with Res
	ervation Rd. to the left and South Run RECenter to the right. Turn rig
	ht to follow the road into the park. Park in the lot in front of the R
	ECenter. From I-495 (Capital Beltway): From the Capital Beltway (I-495
	)\, take Exit 54A (Braddock Rd. West) and drive on Braddock Rd. for ab
	out 1.4 miles to the traffic signal at Burke Lake Rd. Turn left to dri
	ve on Burke Lake Rd. for about 3.6 miles to the traffic signal at the 
	Fairfax Co. Pkwy (VA-7100). Turn left to drive on VA-7100 to drive for
	 2 miles until you reach a traffic signal with Reservation Rd. to the 
	left and South Run RECenter to the right. Turn right to follow the roa
	d into the park and park in the lot in front of the RECenter. Event De
	scription:  Start Point open Mon-Fri 7am-9pm\; Sat 7am-6pm\; Sun 8am-8
	pm. Call ahead to make sure the start point is open on holidays or dur
	ing inclement weather. This is an out-and-back trail that follows some
	what hilly but mostly shaded paved paths. The trail passes through the
	 woods along small streams and goes three-quarters of the way around L
	ake Mercer before returning to the start/finish point. The trail is ra
	ted 2 and is a pretty walk in the woods\, especially during the spring
	 and fall. Restrooms and water are available only at the Start Point.S
