	place from January 15 to 21\, 2009 at the Castro Theatre in San Franci
	sco. For more than a decade we have been presenting independent dramat
	ic\, and documentary features from Germany\, Austria and Switzerland a
	s well as shorts\, and a restored silent film. The festival will also 
	include Kinofest Lünen&39\;s audience favorite\, a Best First Feature
	 Prize\, an Audience Award\, a special tribute and more. The Festival 
	screens 35mm films or digital formats in special cases (documentaries)
	. The films main language should be German\, English subtitles are req
	uired. Preview material should be on DVD in NTSC or PAL. Please submit
	 screening materials and any available background information no later
	 than October 10\, 2008. No application form or entry fee is necessary
