DESCRIPTION:The Drawing Intensive is comprised of five non-stop days f
	illed with in-depth concentration on the nature of drawing. The worksh
	op will explore perception as an alternative to academic preconception
	s of drawing\, the vital potentials of the picture plane\, discovering
	 light and space\, scale\, the quest for form\, understanding visual m
	etaphor and the difference between pictorial and narrative concept. Pr
	esentations\, exercises and the constant activity of drawing in very s
	mall and very large formats as well as different media will dramatical
	ly advance understanding of drawing and its potentials. Related discip
	lines such as painting\, mixed media and photography will be reference
	d to explicate the essential qualities of drawing. The Drawing Intensi
	ve will transform one's understanding of the process of seeing. It wil
	l accelerate participants' understanding of essential issues related t
	o drawing as structure and as an ongoing preoccupation for the artist 
	through many forms and media. Models will be present throughout the wo
