	e will carpool from there. If you plan on meeting us at Palomar\, figu
	re it will take us an hour to get up to the park from the mall. We wil
	l be parking the cars in the Doane Pond parking lot. Please let us kno
	w if you will be driving up on your own. This is a moderate hike (4 mi
	les) through a variety of beautiful mountain landscapes\, thick forest
	s and abundent wildlife. Some hills involved and the elevation can mak
	e you a bit winded. Please be sure to wear your hiking shoes. Approxim
	ate hiking time should be about 2 hours. May be a bit more if we stop 
	to enjoy the scenery. Bring snacks to hold you over as well as water t
	o keep you hydrated. We plan on stopping off at Mother's for a relaxin
	g lunch on the way back. This is an informal vegetarian restaurant whe
	re all the bikers and hikers hang out. Looking forward to seeing you a
