DESCRIPTION:  Join Bryan Seipp on a walk around the C&O Canal as he he
	lps us identify some common tree species found in the Potomac River wa
	tershed. The River Center is open Saturdays and Sundays from May 3 thr
	ough October 18 from 10 am ‘til 2 pm for tours of the lockhouse and i
	nteractive exhibits. Inside the River Center\, the Conservancy install
	ed a new exhibit\, “Backyard to the Bay\,” that connects what happen
	s on the land and the health of the Potomac River and the Chesapeake B
	ay. Visitors are guided by the Potomac Conservancy’s volunteer docent
	s who lead tours\, answer questions and discuss the historical and cul
	tural significance of the C&O Canal and the Potomac River to the regio
	nal economy and the local quality of life. For additional information
