	Based on work done by students in Professor Paul Buhle’s course\, Jewi
	sh Americans: Film and Comics\, the exhibition presents images of rece
	nt comic book art. It considers the ways the artists address social is
	sues — violence\, prejudice\, the threat of war\, environmental devast
	ation\, and media manipulation — as well as issues of individual and c
	ollective identity and Jewish history. Artists in this show include Ar
	t Spiegelman\, Miriam Katin\, Eric Drooker\, Sharon Rudahl\, and James
	 Sturm.\n\nFree and open to the public.\n\nCo-sponsored by the Creativ
	e Arts Council\, the John Nicholas Brown Center for Public Humanities 
	and Cultural Heritage\, and the Department of Visual Arts.\n
