DESCRIPTION: Stella! The infamous movie quote is finding new light as 
	the troupe name for a trio of comedians out of New York City. Nothing 
	like spawn from a city where laughter intermingles with grunts\, groan
	s and car horns. Stella blends a surrealist’s glimpse on life throug
	h a mainstream\, easy to understand lens. Coming from the avant garde 
	minds of Michael Ian Black\, who has gained notoriety as one of the mo
	re memorable panelists on Vh1’s I love the… series\, Michael Showa
	lter and David Wain. After meeting at at the artistic mecca that is Ne
	w York University\, these three comedians played roles on the MTV sket
	ch comedy program\, The State. Once that fizzled out\, they rose to an
	other occasion by filming their own comedy shorts and widely spread th
	em across the internet. And with thus began their reign as cult icons.
	 The trio showcased a vast array of creative output from 1998 through 
	2004 when they made 27 short films and scored a 10 episode stint on Co
	medy Central. This memorable yet short lived program featured the gang
	 constantly decked out in black suits\, and the sardonic wit that stre
	amlined across the sheer stupidity of their mundane lives. This outlet
	 gave Stella the opportunity to take the material from their shorts an
	d present it through a different medium\, gain more viewers and also e
	xpand their jokes and horizons. This crew will be playing the House of
	 Blues on December 7th.
