DESCRIPTION: Please join us in helping to keep Lake Merritt beautiful!
	 This is the first event held by our local neighborhood team and it is
	 part of the Obama/Biden Administration's call for community service. 
	We will be not only cleaning the lake\, but introducing ourselves to t
	he neighbors and asking them to join us in working for change in Oakla
	nd and this nation. We will be working in conjunction with the Lake Me
	rritt Institute and Keep Oakland Beautiful to clean-up the lake and su
	rrounding area. Gloves\, trash bags\, barrels and nets will be provide
	d. Be sure to wear clothes you're willing to get dirty in and possibly
