DESCRIPTION:  I was blown away in Monterey by trumpeter rising star Ch
	ristian Scott\, and I'm thrilled to be seeing him live once again. He 
	weaves a beautiful\, artistic tapestry with different sounds\, borrowi
	ng from music of all genres. He's a visionary that has been likened to
	 Miles Davis\, and I concur. Tough to find any videos that do him just
	ice\, but he has some good tracks on his myspace page . Let's get some
	 dinner and/or appetizers so that we can reserve a table or two withou
	t any surcharge. I'll be at the bar by 6:30pm and have dinner reservat

	rs is trumpeter Christian Scott. He makes his Concord Jazz debut with

	ng lions did in the early 1990s\, Scott delivers a smart\, grooved and
	 plugged-in set of tunes (nine of the 11 tracks are originals) with hi

	ility and a willingness to break rules when it makes musical sense to 
	him. A New Orleans native\, Scott represents the next generation of Cr
	escent City horn blowers whose lineage started with the legendary King
	 Oliver and Louis Armstrong and has continued with such marquee trumpe
	ters as Wynton Marsalis\, Terence Blanchard and Nicholas Payton.\n
