	Towne Portsmouth skylines\, when 100\,000 voices along the Grand Illum
	ination Parade Route will take part in a community countdown. The skyl
	ines stretch nearly 20 miles to light up our favorite holidays - Thank
	sgiving\, Hanukkah\, Christmas\, Kwanzaa and New Year’s Eve. The ill
	umination signals the start of the parade filled with festive and ligh
	ted floats\, marching bands\, giant balloons\, decorated vehicles\, da
	ncers\, and\, of course\, Santa Claus. Pre-parade entertainment begins
	 at 5 p.m. Grand illumination of buildings starts at 7 p.m.\; parade b
	egins at Waterside Drive and St. Paul’s Boulevard immediately therea
