	ic Church and the Colisseum. Day 1 New York\, NY We depart on our inte
	rnational flight to Rome. Dinner and breakfast are served on board. Da
	y 2 Rome Upon arrival in Rome\, we are met by our local representative
	 and transfer to our hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure. Toni
	ght we enjoy dinner and overnight in Rome. (D) Day 3 Rome After breakf
	ast we depart for Vatican City to attend a Papal Audience (if availabl
	e). In the afternoon\, we visit the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Ch
	apel\, with Michelangelo's breathtaking frescoes. We conclude our visi
	t with a tour of St. Peter's Basilica. We have the remainder of the da
	y to explore the wonders of Rome on our own. Dinner and overnight in R
	ome. (B\, D) Day 4 Rome After breakfast we depart for a half-day of gu
	ided sightseeing in the "Eternal City." The highlights include the App
	ian Way\, the Catacombs\, and St. Peter in Chains. We also visit three
	 major basilicas in Rome including St. Mary Major\, dedicated to Our L
	ady\, St. John Lateran\, the Cathedral of Rome\, and St. Paul Outside 
	the Walls\, built over the burial place of St. Paul. Dinner and overni
	ght in Rome. (B\, D) Day 5 Rome Today we enjoy a free day to discover 
	the beauty and inspiration that is Rome. An optional tour to Assisi\, 
	the town of beloved St. Francis\, is offered as well (at additional co
	st). In Assisi we visit the Basilica of St. Francis\, with its wonderf
	ul artwork by Giotto\, the church of St. Clare\, which houses her inco
	rrupt body\, the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and the Portiuncul
	a Chapel\, birthplace of the Franciscan Order. Dinner and overnight in
	 Rome. (B\, D) Day 6 Rome This morning we explore the wonders of ancie
	nt Rome. We begin with a view of Capitoline Hill and then visit the Co
	losseum\, an architectural wonder completed in 80 AD. We view the Arch
	 of Constantine and the Circus Maximus and visit the archeological are
	a of the Roman Forum. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure for last-minute s
	ightseeing or shopping. Dinner and overnight in Rome. (B\, D) Day 7 Ne
	w York\, NY Following breakfast we transfer to Rome's Fiumicino Airpor
	t for our return flight\, arriving the same day. (B)
